Magnesium is mineral that's responsible, amongst other things, for regulating your HPA axis (your body's stress response system). When your mind is racing and your body feels physically tense, it's because your brain is flooded with excitatory signals. Magnesium physically blocks those signals, lowering cortisol and allowing your central nervous system to actually calm down.
Many people are deficient in magnesium, and in the CALM formula we hit a specific dose (125mg elemental magnesium per 4-capsule serving) to top up this important mineral, and to work synergistically with apigenin, forcing your brain our of a wired state and into deep sleep.
Why Magnesium Bisglycinate? Well, in this form, the elemental magnesium is bound to two molecules of the amino acid glycine. This matters because your gut has specific "dipeptide transport channels" designed to absorb peptide proteins. By binding the magnsium to these two glycine molecules, we are potentially making use of this transport channel, essentially smuggling the magnesium through your intestinal wall. This allows it to bypass the normal digestion route, resulting in more bioavailability and significantly less gut issues than other common (and cheaper) forms of magnesium like magnesium oxide or citrate.
The Glycine Bonus: Because we use the bisglycinate form, you aren't just getting magnesium, you're getting a decent dose of glycine too.
To give you 125mg of elemental magnesium in the 4-capsule serving, we use 862mg of Magnesium Bisglycinate. That means you're getting 737mg of glycine alongside the magnesium.

Zinc is also a key component of your natural melatonin production. Your body converts the amino acid tryptophan into serotonin and then into melatonin - zinc (alongside magnesium) is responsible for that final serotonin > melatonin conversion. Instantly felt calmer especially at night. Only things that has worked
I've been using Ugly Face Calm for a couple weeks and I really notice a difference in how I wind down before bed. It helps me relax, so I’m not lying there with my mind racing. This stuff is legit. I’ve been taking the sleep stack a week and I’m shocked at how effective it is, have had the best sleep scores since starting to track my sleep in 2021.
So at this stage i am using their creatine and Pump V2 all good so far looking forward to trying some of the Hydroprime when it comes available. The Calm supp hasn't *solved* all my problems, but it has significantly reduced my ability to create new ones from a self induced spiral. I have struggled with getting to sleep and staying asleep for years, as well as managing stress. I've tried every sleep/stress supplement under the sun, spent farking hundreds if not more & have recently been an avid user of strong melatonin tablets which aren't recommended to use for an extended period of time. The sleep score/quality has dramatically improved also, with REM and Core sleep being consistently high, and has improved the longer I’ve stayed consistent taking Calm. I’ve also noticed overall improvements in mood/stress in my daily life, feeling a lot calmer and clearer in my thoughts, and not as emotional as I am often (I’m a cry baby what can I say). SERIOUSLY impressed by this product, and it has very quickly become a staple in my daily routine.
Best sleep I’ve had in years. Am going thru menopause so thought I’d give Calm a try - what did I have to lose. When I take calm I don’t wake up multiple times at night, have a deeper sleep and wake up non groggy and with heaps of energy. I’ve never been a morning person but these pills have been a game changer: Can’t be without them now!!! Highly recommend.

Really impressed with Calm after my first night using it. I used to find myself laid in bed with my mind going. This allows me to drift off to sleep and stay asleep. Recommended it to two friends and they experienced the exact same thing after their first night!
